Policies

We kindly request orders for refreshment breaks be placed a minimum of 3 business days prior to the event. We kindly ask orders for meals and receptions be placed a minimum of 10 business days prior to the event and the event should be finalized no less than 7 business days in advance of the event. Events scheduled less than 3 business days in advance may be assessed an additional fee.

Two hours of service are normally provided for catered meals from start to finish. If additional service is needed there will be a $15.00 per hour per worker service charge.

Student Organization Catering Orders are provided as a "pick-up style" only.  Service staff and other accommodations can be added for additional fees.  Hourly rate of service staff is $25/per hour.  Please inquire with your Catering Manager on further fees for equipment use, set up and tear down. 

GUARANTEED GUEST COUNTS

A confirmed number of guests must be specified 5 business days prior to the event. This number is considered the guaranteed guest count. Charges may apply if guest counts are adjusted.

MINIMUMS

Minimum purchases for catering within the University Center are $35, anything outside of the University Center is a minimum purchase starting at $50. Depending on location and time, additional fees may be applied. Please speak with your catering manager for more info. Any catering orders for less than 5 people are subject to additional fees.

CANCELLATION

If notice of cancellation is received 3 business days in advance of the event, you will only be charged any expenses incurred. If notice is received less than 3 business days in advance of the event you will be charged the full amount.

LINENS

  • Black or white food table linens included with packaged buffets or plated events
  • Guest table linens included with all catering orders at a guest to linen ratio of 1:8
  • Orders outside of packaged buffets or plated events (i.e. a la carte orders, delivery orders, etc.) will be subject to $4 per additional linen (choice of white or black)
  • Black Skirting available upon request for an additional $10 per table (limited available)
  • House linen or other linen available at $4 per linen
  • Additional napkins that are not red, black, or white are available at $1.50 each 
  • Specialty linen available at an additional charge. Contact the catering director for options.

  • CHINA

    China is available for $1.00 per person for events held in the University Center, and $2.00 per person for events held outside of the University Center.

    WATER SETUP

    Pitchers of water or large dispensers are available for conferences, lectures and meetings on campus. Additional fees apply, please speak with your Catering Director for more information.

    SAFE FOOD HANDLING

    Safe food handling is a high priority for us. Therefore, we reserve the right to limit the removal of leftover food by the customer to items that are available for carry out. For your safety and that of your guests, a catering representative will remove food from your event in a timely manner.

    PAYMENT

    Payment for school sponsored catered events is due within 30 days of billing date. All functions to be paid from school accounts must supply an organization code number at the time the order is placed. All organizations that are tat-exempt must present their certificate at the time the order is placed.

    Payment for non-school sponsored functions is due immediately upon receipt of invoice. State and local sales tax will be added to invoices of individuals or groups not exempt from such tax.
